About glycerine
Glycerine is an a lcohol. It’s the more common term used for propane-1,2,3-triol. Glycerine occurs in all natural fats and oils as fatty acid ester and plays a key role as an intermediate in various metabolic processes. Glycerine can be obtained in petrochemical and biotechnological processes as well as in biodiesel production. It’s a very versatile substance which is used in for example the cosmetic, food and pharmaceutical industries.
