Even in challenging harvest years, we provide an outlet for low-quality agricultural raw materials that are unsuitable for foodstuffs or animal feed. Our biorefineries also produce high-quality animal feed and fertilizers, which we feed back into agriculture. This closes the cycle and helps to drive a sustainable agriculture.
The production of biomethane from straw or stillage creates valuable fertilizer for conventional and organic farming. Our fermentation products are quality-assured fertilizers that are easy to use, and which contain important plant-available nutrients that are returned to the regional farmland and make a sustainable contribution to soil health.
Biomethane production from stillage produces the liquid fertilizer ammonium sulphate solution (ASL). This is ideal for all agricultural crops and can be used both as a stand-alone fertilizer and in combination with other liquid fertilizers. The ammonium sulphate solution supplies nitrogen in a dissolved, readily available, and immediately effective form. Verbio’s ASL contains 8 percent ammonium nitrogen and 9 percent water-soluble sulfur.
In the production of biomethane from straw, a high-quality humus fertilizer is produced, which is returned to the fields to support sustainable agriculture and maintain the humus balance.
Bioethanol production in our biorefineries generates stillage on a continuous basis. It still contains valuable cereals, including high-quality proteins. Verbio markets these different types of stillage as animal feed for livestock farming.
It is essential to add feed salts to animal feed in order to ensure a balanced sodium level in cattle. Verbio’s Glycosalt contains the necessary sodium chloride as well as glycerine giving our product a mildly sweet taste that animals find palatable. This has a positive effect on feed intake.
In addition, Verbio has developed a wheat-triticale protein, which can be used in the production of animal feed for both domestic and farm animals."
Verbio also offers Wheat Triticale Protein Concentrate, which has an exceptionally high protein content of up to 80%. It therefore specifically supports the growth and development of young animals.

Especially in India our unique technology avoids harmful emissions by stubble burning on field. Instead, the waste material is transformed into a climate-friendly and cost-effective biofuel and valuable humus fertilizer.
