Using innovative technology, we extract phytosterols from rapeseed oil. Phytosterols have cholesterol-lowering properties and are therefore used in the production of food products. Additionally, we have developed a technology to produce high-quality proteins from the protein-rich mash of ethanol production, which could potentially be used in the food industry in the future.
Verbio is one of the world’s largest producers of rapeseed sterols. They are used in foods known for their cholesterol-lowering effects such as margarine, yogurt, cereal products, or dietary supplements. Our phytosterols are obtained from regionally sourced rapeseed oil. This rapeseed oil is free from genetic engineering. The quality of our products is assured through various certifications, including kosher, halal, and IFS Food.
