Sustainability strategy
Sustainability is a central component of our business activities. For this reason, sustainability is not the sole responsibility of ESG, but is seen as a joint task across all the Group’s activities. Our flexible business model enables us to react quickly to environmental and social changes. We attach great importance to optimizing the use of resources, recycling, and promoting the circular economy in order to increase the efficiency of our production and improve our greenhouse gas balance. We pursue a comprehensive sustainability strategy that is based on several key principles and helps us to shape a sustainable future that is worth living.
Our sustainability strategy comprises several pillars:
1. Flexible business model: We are always ready to react proactively to changes in the environment and society. We offer innovative and sustainable solutions that are perfectly tailored to the needs of our customers.
2. Resource-saving production: By optimizing the use of resources, recycling, and promoting the circular economy, we increase the efficiency of our production and continuously improve the greenhouse gas balance of our products.
3. Innovative technologies: By implementing the latest technology concepts for the use of additional by-products, we are strengthening our competitiveness and opening up exciting new market segments.
4. Sustainable procurement of raw materials: We rely on responsible procurement practices that ensure that our biofuels reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 90 percent compared to fossil fuels.
5. Responsible corporate governance: We are committed to complying with international labor and social standards, and we have established a code of conduct that promotes ethical business practices for our employees and suppliers.
