Langenfeld/Leipzig, 18 October 2012 - VERBIO is continuing to expand its biomethane distribution and now supplying the two natural gas filling stations in the west German town of Langenfeld with 100pc verbiogas.
Leipzig, 11 October 2012 - VERBIO has teamed up with a gas utility in northern Bavaria to enable the refuelling stations used by public transport in the region to be supplied with verbiogas – the greener biofuel which is no more expensive than natural gas.
Leipzig, 13 September 2012 - Claus Sauter, CEO of VERBIO, has welcomed the European Commission’s call for at least half the biofuel produced from renewable resources and making up 10pc of the fuel used in the transport sector to come from waste and residuals. Finally the sustainable production of carbon-cutting biofuels not made from crops used for food and feed is in the focus of energy transition in the transport sector of the EC.
Leipzig, 11 September 2012 • The Bavarian branch of ADAC (the biggest automobile club in Europe) presented the 2012 ADAC Mobility Award to the city of Augsburg’s fleet of natural gas buses. The 100 or so vehicles have been completely CO2-neutral since November 2011 as they now run on nothing but green biomethane. What’s more, drivers of other NGVs can now also put verbiogas in their cars at the three filling stations operated by local utility Stadtwerke Augsburg.
